School of Pharmacy

Public Events

Each year members of academic staff from the School of Pharmacy take part in a range of public events to promote both science and The University of Nottingham. These events range in scale from those open to the local community as well as national schemes.

Science Public Lecture Series

This series of talks is open to all and free to attend with lectures being held once a month (on the third Thursday of each month). We welcome speakers in all areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) from across the University of Nottingham, and we hope you can join us to hear about some of the fascinating research that is being undertaken at the University. Previous lectures have covered such diverse research areas as gravitational waves, the Bloodhound Supersonic Car, and feathered dinosaurs.

For details of the upcoming lecture and a list of past topics, visit the Science Public Lectures webpage.

The Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity 2022

7 - 16 February 2022

This is an annual festival which takes Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths out of the lab and into everyday lives. The festival is about inviting the people of Nottinghamshire to share not only what they know, but also what they would like to know; it's about celebrating curiosity, asking questions and taking a leading role in finding out the answers.

The festival for 2022 has taken place but keep an eye on the website for details of what is planned for 2023!
