Jan Meyer-Sahling promoted to Professor

The School of Politics and International Relations is delighted to announce that, as of 1 August 2015, Jan Meyer-Sahling will be promoted to Professor.

Head of School Professor Mat Humphrey said: “Rarely has a promotion to this level been so well-deserved. In his time in this School I have seen Jan deliver beyond expectations in every area of the profession. As well as having an outstanding record of publications and grant-getting, his work on civil service reform in Central and Eastern Europe also formed one of the School’s REF Impact Case studies, and Jan is now widely consulted by practitioners in this field. In addition to this, Jan has been a fantastic citizen of the School, completely overhauling our PGR provision while PGR Director and has now embarked on a series of major reforms to the ways in which the School supports research activity.”
