A transformative national research infrastructure, underpinned by work led from the University of Nottingham is set to reshape the future of plant and crop research and innovation across the UK.

Researchers, creatives, and industry professionals will gather at the University of Nottingham’s Virtual and Immersive Production (VIP) Studio, on 24 March 2026, as the XR Network+ Roadshow arrives for an inspirational day dedicated to exploring the future of Virtual Production (VP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Extended Reality (XR).

A public knowledge exchange event, held at the University of Nottingham later this month, will bring together leading academics, policymakers, and peacebuilding practitioners to explore how relational restorative justice approaches are contributing to ongoing peace efforts in Colombia.

An exciting programme of activities for 2026 will once again see talented young musicians from the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University join forces with the world-famous BBC Concert Orchestra, beginning with two spectacular performances this month – The Planets by Gustav Holst and Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi.
