PhD Studentship in Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing (CSAM)

We are currently recruiting a Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC)-sponsored PhD studentship at the world-leading Centre for Excellence in Coatings and Surface Engineering (CSE) at the University of Nottingham. The MTC, was established in 2010, as an independent Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry. This 3-year PhD programme, in partnership with MTC, focuses on cold spray additive manufacturing (CSAM).

Applicants should possess a first or upper-second-class degree in materials/mechanical/manufacutring/aerospace/chemical engineering. They should also have the ability to learn new material deposition techniques, be driven individual with an inquisitive mind, and demonstrate proficiency in producing high-quality presentations and written reports. This fully funded studentsihp offers a tax-free stipent of up to £27,190 per year, and is available for home fee-eligible students commencing in October 2023.
