Stuart Moran from the University's Digital Research Team will give a talk on doing research digitally during this lab meeting.

Doing Research Digitally: An Overview and Reflection on UoN Digital Expertise, Services, Tools and Environments

This seminar will introduce a wide-range of different digital services to support and enable research, covering areas such as research data management, data analytics, high performance computing, remote collaboration and data visualisation. I will look to reflect not only on the value of having experienced resesearchers in roles dedicated to designing new digitally enabled research services, but also the importance of actively conducting research as part of the development process. I will also explore some of the unexpected challenges faced by researchers from different disciplines in adopting new working practices.
