Perspectives on Play (POP!) Network

POP! perspectives on play is an academic network focusing on exploration of play, games and leisure from different disciplinary perspectives. We are based in Nottingham University Philosophy department but have members at institutions across the country.

As the network grows our interests expand but we have already held a conference and organised workshops covering a broad range of recreational activities from sports, computer games and board games to exploring the wilderness, drinking, dancing, and recreational sex. Further, some activities that take place within educational, or occupational settings, from educational board games to war games.

Please sign up to our mailing list to hear more by following this link. Signing up is free and can imply as little as just that you would like to hear more about future related activities in our monthly email or, if you want to get more involved, an opportunity to join our organising group that will make decisions about future plans.
