We would like to congratulate our two Faculty of Science PhD students for their 2017 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad and for their excellent academic achievements during their PhD studies.
Dr Chao Chen for his project on “Fuzzy Systems” entitled “A Novel Framework for the Implementation and Evaluation of Type-1 and Interval Type-2 ANFIS”. Based in the School of Computer Sciences (Principal Supervisor Prof Jon Garibaldi) and Dr Wen Yun for her project on “Behavioural and Electrophysiological Investigations of Chinese Translation Activation During English Word Recognition in Chinese-English Bilinguals”. Based in the School of Psychology (Principal Supervisor Dr W Van Heuven).
