Studying Effectively

Using ebooks

Wherever possible, the library buys ebook versions of your recommended reading.

With most ebooks you can:

  • Access them at any time, both on and off campus
  • Read them online and on mobile devices
  • Read them at the same time as others
  • Do keyword searches and make electronic notes

Finding eBooks

To find an ebook you can use:

Go to the Finding books page for more information.

Downloading, copying and printing from ebooks

Library ebooks are provided by different publishers. Like print books, ebooks are protected by copyright law; for many ebooks this is controlled automatically by Digital Rights Management (DRM) software.

The amount you can download, print or copy from an ebook varies from one publisher and title to another.  This information is usually displayed when you use each ebook.
