Biography

My current research aims at developing new avenues to produce safer and healthier food, offset the environmental footprint of the agricultural and livestock sectors, and alleviate the impact of insect pests and arthropod-borne diseases on health and economies. My lab uses an integrative approach, that includes gene knockouts, transcriptomics, comparative genomics, protein evolution, recombinant protein expression, and protein-small molecule interaction to examine i) the tripartite interaction between insects, plants, and fungi and ii) the molecular basis of arthropod olfaction. Get in touch if interested in collaborating or joining my lab @ the University of Nottingham.
