Cath Rees awarded Cream Award for innovation

The Cream awards were created to recognise some of the brightest, and best business and people across the dairy industry. The Cream awards drive positive forward thinking and recognize the innovation and success in the dairy industry, promoting best practice and excellence from technical production and husbandry to marketing and export skills.

Cath Rees won the award along with her colleagues at PBD Biotech Ltd.  The speed and specificity of this technology has the potential to seriously enhance the toolkit available to farmers and vets said judges, to help rid the countryside of this endemic disease. One commented, “I feel it very important to point out that this is a clear and welcome addition to the arsenal in fighting TB . . . it is a complimentary technology and welcome addition to our targets of eradicating bovine TB in this country.”  Cath was particularly pleased as she felt that they were up against high quality competition.
