Hernán Fainberg is a scientist with over 20 years' experience, integrating human physiology with computational data analysis. His research has focused on early childhood obesity and age-related diseases, particularly idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. As a data scientist, he has developed algorithmic approaches to overcome the "black-box" effect in machine learning, enhancing the interpretability of real-world data. This work has opened new perspectives for developing innovative biomedical solutions and enabled more precise interpretations of diverse biological datasets. His research is published in peer-reviewed journals including The Lancet Respiratory Medicine and Trends in Molecular Medicine. Until recently, before joining the RNEET team at the University of Nottingham, he was a Research Fellow at Imperial College London.
