Brewing apprenticeship training
We are delighted to have teamed up with HIT training and the Institute of Brewing and Distilling to deliver the industry standard level 4 apprenticeship in brewing. At Nottingham we deliver 12 days of technical and practical training to apprentice brewers over the 18-month period of the program. The training includes core skills and knowledge in:
- Brewing raw materials
- Brewhouse - wort preparation
- Yeast and fermentation
- Brewing microbiology and hygiene
- Beer conditioning and filtration
- Engineering concepts and CiP
- Packaging and dispense
- Quality and sensory evaluation
Apprentices also have access to the IBD learning materials for the General Certificate in Brewing (GCB).
