Brewing apprenticeship training 

WBrewhouse wort preparation in the nanobrewerye are delighted to have teamed up with HIT training and the Institute of Brewing and Distilling to deliver the industry standard level 4 apprenticeship in brewing. At Nottingham we deliver 12 days of technical and practical training to apprentice brewers over the 18-month period of the program. The training includes core skills and knowledge in: 

  • Brewing raw materials
  • Brewhouse - wort preparation
  • Yeast and fermentation
  • Brewing microbiology and hygiene
  • Beer conditioning and filtration
  • Engineering concepts and CiP
  • Packaging and dispense
  • Quality and sensory evaluation

Apprentices also have access to the IBD learning materials for the General Certificate in Brewing (GCB).
