As the Employer Relations Consultant (Postgraduate Careers), the primary focus of my role is to engage with employers/recruiters to facilitate opportunities for Business School postgraduates, concentrating on MSc and MBA students and recent graduates. Given the School's diverse international mix, I work to develop links with local, national and international employers, who may have graduate/experienced hire job opportunities suitable for our students and recent graduates.
My role is to develop and cultivate relationships to promote the Business School's students/alumni to potential employers, source local labour market information, support employers to promote relevant careers opportunities to our students and arrange/deliver information sessions e.g. employer led webinars to students. I'm also interested in talking to any companies who may have short term projects that many be suitable for our students e.g. our MSc and MBA courses that have company based projects as an option for dissertations.
Prior to joining the University of Nottingham, my background primarily focused on student recruitment (international & UK) and relationship management, working within HE, in addition to an accounting & finance professional body.
