David joined
HGI in September 2018 as Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (teaching focused).
His previous jobs included a lectureship in Entrepreneurship and Management at Bangkok University School of Entrepreneurship and Management (Bangkok, TH, 5 years) and a position at Goldman Sachs (Zurich, CH, 1 year).
David's doctoral research focused on employment relations in high-growth start-ups. In essence examining why and with what expectations graduates join growth-oriented start-ups, what their employment and physio logical contracts looked like, and what realities they faced in their jobs. More recently he has also been interested in research on entrepreneurship education in secondary and higher education.
David has extensive experience in organising academic conferences and business plan competitions. He has chaired two editions of the Women Entrepreneurship Conference Bangkok and co-chaired the 2018 Diana Conference as well as the Thailand Challenge Cup (a global business plan competition).
He is currently teaching on Entrepreneurship in Context (N14T37), Exploring Perspectives in Entrepreneurship (N13214 UK) and Venture Capital and Private Equity (N14194 UK).
