Dr Jamie Wardman's research spans the sociology of risk and uncertainty as this relates to such issues as the theory and practice of risk management and communication, resilience and security, crisis management and emergency preparedness. His work has addressed all manner of risks ranging from terrorist attacks to emerging infectious disease outbreaks, and is often at the intersection of risk with sustainability concerns. This often employs a sociocultural lens to examine how risk and its representation can help inform risk management policy design, operations and evaluations.
