Dr Murtaza Faruquee is an Assistant Professor in Operations Management in the Department of Operations Management and Information Systems (OMIS) at the University of Nottingham Business School (NUBS). He joined NUBS in 2024. He is also a Higher Education Academy (Advance HE) Fellow.
Before joining NUBS, He worked as a Lecturer in Supply Chain Management at the University of Sussex, UK. Prior to that, he gained experience working in various organisations, ranging from multinational FMCG to SME. He is also involved in consulting projects related to operations management, procurement, SDGs implementation and service supply chain. He completed his PhD in supply chain resilience and buyer-supplier relationship at the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China. Prior to that, he earned an MSc in Operations Management from the University of Nottingham, UK, and a Bachelor of Finance and Accounting from BRAC University, Bangladesh.
