Nahid joined Nottingham University Business School in August 2018 as an Assistant Professor in International Business. Prior to this, she was a teaching and research associate at Loughborough University where she was also awarded her PhD. Holding a PhD in Business, an MBA, a science degree, and four years of corporate experience in automotive and manufacturing industry,

Nahid has always valued multi-disciplinary research and considered the impact of her study on its audience. Her current research is an interface of international business, strategy, and marketing investigating how portfolio of a firm's export mode operations shapes its success, building on different theoretical frameworks specifically Transaction Cost Economics and Real Options and employing quantitative approaches utilising primary data.

Nahid is also currently involved in a multi-country project "Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century", looking at firm's international activities such as firm's internationalisation strategies, export entry mode management, export product adaptation, innovativeness, and international CSR. This project is undertaken in collaboration with academics from 17 countries in different continents.
