Rob is a Director of Catapult Ventures Group, which has 130m funds under management having founded the firm in 1999. He is also Chairman of Catapult's Investment Committees and was its Managing Director until September 2013.

Prior to that he worked for 3i plc in Leicester and London as well as spending a short period in Frankfurt. He then worked for ECI Ventures in the Midlands. He is Professor of Practice at Nottingham University Business School and lectures in Venture Capital and Private Equity. He is also a shareholder and Non-Executive Director of Replay Limited, Chairman and a shareholder of Open Go Sim and a shareholder and Director of Ekkosense Ltd.

He was appointed to the Board of Lord Young's Small Business Charter and is it's Vice Chairman. The mission of the Small Business Charter is to galvanise business schools and SMEs to drive economic growth Rob graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (2.1) from Kings College London. He also has an MBA from Bradford University Management School.
