Dr Akbari is an Assistant Professor in the Operations Management and Information Systems division at Nottingham University Business School. Previously, from February 2017 to June 2018 he worked as an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering in Faculty of Engineering at MEF University in Istanbul, Turkey. Prior to this, he worked as an Instructor in Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey where he received his PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management as well.

Operations Research, Heuristic Algorithms, Network Optimisation, Routing, Humanitarian Logistics.
