Areas of ExpertiseDr Erdinc Akyildirim completed his PhD in Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich and the Swiss Finance Institute. During his PhD, he worked as a teaching assistant at ETH Zurich. He also spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich, focusing on applying machine learning methods in finance.
Before his academic career, he worked as a derivatives trader at an investment bank and as a project manager in business and product development at the Istanbul Stock Exchange. He was also actively involved in industry projects with several companies.
His research interests include Fintech, Quantitative Finance, Machine Learning in Finance, and Sustainable Finance. His work has been published in reputable outlets such as the Journal of Mathematical Economics, Quantitative Finance, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Corporate Finance, European Financial Management, and the European Journal of Finance.
