She also valued the careers advice she recieved. Janet explained:
“The Careers and Employability Service were great with my CV, recommending volunteer groups and providing several other career resources. My advice to new students is to reach out to the careers team and build as many connections as possible on campus. Get involved in volunteering and aim to develop a clear vision for your future, because one year goes by really quickly.”

“My course provided me with the analytical skills and expertise to carry out my daily tasks. I was able to learn advanced Excel, as well as SQL and R, which are crucial in extracting data and making data-informed decisions. I also use the presentation, teamwork and visualisation skills I learned.”
Looking ahead, Janet hopes to build a career in data and information management, ensuring data is fit for purpose and that data compliance is adhered to.
