Employability activities
We offer a wide range of employability-related activities that are tailored towards students, graduates and early career researchers. We will work with you to offer these activities within your school.
Joint activities may include:
- enhancing or developing employability modules
- organising employability events and recruitment fairs
- delivering job-hunting skills workshops
- providing advice around graduate destinations and the global labour market
Here are some examples of our collaboration with schools and faculties:
- With the School of Geography, we work closely with academics to conduct timetabled sessions for first, second, and third-year students. These sessions assist with career decisions, applications, interviews, and finding work experience opportunities.
- In the Faculty of Arts, we offer a series of workshops which support second year Arts Placement Module, CMVS Hollywood Internship Programme as well as two postgraduate modules - Arts In Society and Mastering the Arts. Engagement is designed to enhance applications for placements and introduce awareness of the graduate labour market and researching employers.
- With the School of Psychology, we deliver an integrated programme of careers education across a careers week and work experience week, and an aligned Moodle learning resource.
If you would like to develop any of these activities, or have ideas of your own that you would like to discuss with us, please get in touch with your relevant contact to discuss.
