Research Fellow, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences
I am a Research Fellow within the Centre for Respiratory Research/ Nottingham BRC in Translational Medical Sciences.
My research is focused on the study of cellular and molecular pathology mechanisms underlying chronic lung diseases (including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, COPD) and viral infections. I also participate in studies evaluating computational image analysis to quantify fibrosis/cellularity, expression profiling and reverse phase proteomics quantifying biomarkers.
Isolation, culture and characterisation of a variety of primary cells from human and animal tissue;
Molecular genetics, tissue microarrays
Image analysis, Immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence and histological staining
Western blotting and electrophoresis
