Assistant Professor in Cancer Sciences, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences
Dr Storr is an Assistant Professor in Cancer Science, following on from her prestigious Nottingham Research Fellowship funded to investigate the role of DARPP-32 in breast cancer. She previously worked as a post-doctoral fellow investigating the role of calpain and calpastatin in breast cancer in the group awarded Research Team of the Year 2012 by Breast Cancer Now.
Dr Storr has been Principal Investigator on a Team Verrico pilot grant, Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre funding and a Bioscientifica Trust Research Award. She has been co-applicant on grants from Pancreatic Cancer UK Research Innovation Fund, Breast Cancer Now, Breast Cancer Research Trust and the NUH Charity. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, awarded a PGCHE from the University of Nottingham, and has completed an MRes in Bioinformatics to expand her transcriptomic research (as part of a Level 7 apprenticeship at the University of Nottingham).
