Title: The Role of Signal Sharing and Matching in Coordination Games

Abstract: Focal strategy selection in coordination games has attracted extensive attention. Both game-related and single-player-related factors have been found to influence the focality of strategy labels and may facilitate or mitigate such selection. Building on current research into the impact of such factors between two players, this study aims to experimentally examine the role of private and coordination-relevant information by introducing different types of signals into pure coordination games and coordination games featuring an equilibrium with unique payoffs. Our hypotheses propose effects related to public versus private signals, matched versus divergent signals, as well as an interaction between these two dimensions.
