Hisham grew up in Dubai, where he undertook seminary study with Muslim scholars in the United Arab Emirates, completing a diploma in Islamic law and theology. During that time he worked as an Islamic studies teacher in a supplementary school and delivered Friday sermons.
He then came to the University of Nottingham to study Electrical engineering and graduated in 2018, and is now working as an automotive engineer designing electrical/hybrid cars for a living.
Since coming to Nottingham in 2015, Hisham has been active in delivering Friday sermons on and off-campus, teaching workshops, classes, and supporting students through the (at times) stressful times of university study. He is passionate about inter-faith dialogue, the interplay between science/religion, and sharing the Qur'an's message.
In his spare time, he is kept busy by kickboxing, basketball, and his two children.
