Biography

Mikiko Kurose was born in Kyoto, Japan, has an MA in Linguistics and is a qualified Japanese teacher. She worked in a state secondary school for thirteen years before recently moving into higher education. She has also worked as a translator and interpreter. She advised and edited for Helen Gilhooly's Teach Yourself Japanese titles and was one of the voice actors for Michel Thomas Method Japanese titles. She also checked and reviewed on work during the development of English-Japanese dictionary software for Sharp.

Research Summary

My research interests include technology integration and enhancement in language teaching and learning, and the benefits of CEFR in teaching and assessment.
