Libraries are extending their opening hours over the exam period to help you access the resources, space and support you need.
Extended opening hours
Our six largest libraries will be open until 2am (Sunday to Thursday) throughout the spring term. From 3 – 7 April, these libraries will stay open until 4am to support students observing Ramadan.
You will need your university card for entrance to the libraries during our extended opening hours (10pm – 2am). Libraries are trialling a new way of providing access for those who forget their card, please check the online guidance before visiting.
Study spaces can be booked via Click and Study until 8.45pm. After this time, all library spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, including group spaces for collaborative working.
Libraries will also be offering additional drop-in study spaces on Jubilee and University Park campuses. Visit Study here for more information.
Help and support
Explore Libraries' range of online resources and webinars on topics such as using NUsearch and academic writing to time management and preparing for open book exams. If you prefer to study at home, there are also weekly online structured study sessions on Wednesdays from 11am.
Libraries also ensure facilities and services remain accessible for disabled students and those with a Specific Learning Difficulty or long-term health condition. This support includes alternative formats, dedicated study spaces and extended collection/high-demand loan periods.
Library staff are available to answer any of your questions about our services and resources, contact us by email, phone or live chat. Visit the Libraries website for more information on how we can help you get exam ready.
