There are a range of events, presentations and drop-in sessions throughout each academic year to help you decide if studying abroad is for you.

Student-experience-presentation
Staff from the study abroad team and Peer Advisers talked about how to weigh up your options and what opportunities might best suit you. We looked at the pros and cons of studying close to home or far away, what financial assistance might be available, different learning styles across the world, support available in different countries and advice for LGBTQ+ students.
Is studying abroad right for you presentation
There are opportunities to study abroad across many different regions through different exchange schemes at Nottingham. This presentation looked at the opportunities available for long term (semester/full year) and short term exchange through the University-wide and Summer School programmes across the world.
Our Peer Advisers spoke about the different countries and universities you could potentially study at, how the schemes work and important deadlines etc.
Global Opportunities presentation
This presentation covered the more practical aspects of the application process for the University-wide and Inter-campus exchange and summer school programmes, such as paperwork, financial matters and what happens after you are accepted onto the programme.

Apply to our international Summer Schools programme and not only could you get the opportunity to study in another country, you could also gain international experience during your degree programme and something impressive to add to your CV. The majority of summer schools are open to undergraduate students on any degree programme, within any academic year.

Did you miss the Summer Schools Fair or do you want to find out more about the summer schools available for summer 2020? The Summer Schools presentation will go over the destinations available for 2020 as well as information about the application process.
We will also be holding drop-in sessions begining from 12 November on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2pm to 3.30pm at Floor C, Yang Fujia Building, Jubilee throughout November and December.
A member of the Study Abroad Team and/or a peer adviser will be available during these drop in sessions to answer questions and provide information on study abroad options.
