China and Malaysia campuses
The University of Nottingham has two campuses in China and Malaysia and offers University of Nottingham UK Campus students a unique Inter-campus exchange opportunity to apply to spend a semester, an academic year or summer school at either of our overseas campuses.
The campuses provide the opportunity to gain many of the benefits of studying abroad but have the security of studying in a familiar learning environment. You can potentially give your degree a more regional focus as modules at the campuses are not an exact replica of UK Campus modules, with some modules having local differences, but still have the same assessment methods as at the UK campus and there is no conversion of grades.
Where can I study abroad?
The University of Nottingham was the first UK university to open a branch campus overseas with the opening of our Malaysia Campus in 2000, followed by our China Campus in Ningbo in 2004.
To be eligible to apply to the programme, you must be studying for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Nottingham UK, which is also offered at either the China or Malaysia campus. Please contact your academic school/department to check if exchange to the China or Malaysia Campus is available for your degree programme.
Eligibility criteria varies by school/department but most applicants are required to be achieving an overall academic average of above 50%.
The Malaysia and China campuses are part of the University of Nottingham and all classes are taught in English. The modules and the exams at both campuses are very similar to those in Nottingham UK.
The majority of senior academic staff are appointed from the University of Nottingham UK, with academic staff also recruited nationally and internationally.
The degrees awarded are University of Nottingham degrees and the courses and teaching are subject to the same Quality Assurance processes as courses and teaching in the UK.
Students who wish to apply to the programme should speak to their school/department contact for information on available modules at the international campuses. To find out the name of your school/department contact, please see Global opportunities by school.
