Using UoN Print
How to get started with the UoN print service.
UoN Print Service
The Print Service uses Multifunctional Devices (MFDs) which offer printing, copying and scanning
You can release your print or copy job at any MFD across the university
A wide format printing service is available
How to use the MFDs
To use the service, you will need:
To activate your print account
Credit in your Print Service account
Your University card and print PIN, or your username and password
Note: Always make sure you log out of the MFD when you have finished to keep your account secure.

A document can be sent to print from any computer room/public access PC and is then stored in your personal queue for up to 24 hours. You can then release it for printing from any MFD once you have logged in.
Any jobs submitted for printing will be deleted from the queue if they are not released within 24 hours.
Default Settings
The default settings are:
- Mono - Black and white, double-sided A4.
- Colour - Colour, double-sided A4.
The default copy and print settings can be changed to meet your requirements.
- Once you have selected the document on the MFD, the number of pages and force monochrome settings can be changed.
- The number of pages and cost are displayed on the right hand side of the printer screen.
To print from a personal device, you can send documents to print via your university email.
Send via email
Send documents from your University email account to mobileprint@nottingham.ac.uk
The maximum size of document you can send via email is 10MB.
Upload
Please note, the ability to upload documents via the mobile print website will be removed on Wednesday 18 September 2024.
Upload your document to mobile print - there is no limit to the size of document you can upload.
Items can be photocopied within the copyright restrictions displayed at the MFDs.
Default Settings
The default setting is:
- Copy - Single-sided A4 paper in black and white (mono)
The default copy and print settings can be changed to meet your requirements
Items can be scanned within the copyright restrictions displayed at the MFDs.
Scanning using the OneDrive app will save the scan into a 'My Scans' folder on your University OneDrive.
You can also use the Email app to scan direct to your University email address.
Scanning is free* and saves paper.
*minimum 4p balance required to log in to MFDs
