Biography
Dr. Anand Sreeram is an Assistant Professor in Transportation Engineering at the University of Nottingham. Previously, he was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Future Roads Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge (UK) and completed postdoctoral training at the Center for Transportation Research, The University of Texas at Austin (USA). He received his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong), and holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Environmental Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
His research focuses on sustainable infrastructure materials and technologies, advanced materials characterisation, smart and resilient infrastructure, high-performance pavement materials, and multiscale modelling, underpinned by a strong materials science and chemo-mechanical perspective. As of January 2026, he has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and has a Scopus H-index of 26. Over 90% of his publications appear in leading Q1 journals, more than 30% are ranked within the top 10% most-cited worldwide, and his field-weighted citation impact is 2.53. In 2026, he was appointed an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Pavement Engineering, a leading journal in the field.
