The School of English has this week launched an exciting new distance learning course, the MA Applied English. This new course offers increased flexibility and a uniquely customisable curriculum.

On this course, students study 'pods' – modular learning units created by academic specialists and delivered by the latest methods in online distance learning. These combine a wide range of teaching materials, including multimedia and interactive tasks, with access to digital resources, manuscripts and archives.

The Applied English course covers a broad and unique mix of subjects within the study of English language, literature and culture. With expert guidance, students can fit pods together to construct their own unique learning pathways to suit their personal or professional goals and interests – specialising within a field or combining areas to create an interdisciplinary programme of study.

Find out more about the new course here.

See the MA Applied English course page.
