University Park: East Midlands Conference Centre Refurbishment

The East Midlands Conference Centre is set to undergo a comprehensive refurbishment in 2020. This will include full refurbishment of all atrium and circulation spaces as well as new audio visual and refurbishment of conference rooms.

Sutton Bonington: North Lab Redevelopment

The North Lab building is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment and extension which includes the second phase of the STEM Lab HEFCE funded project. Teaching has commenced in the laboratory and the external and upper floor refurbishment will continue until late 2018.

University Park: Centre for Biomolecular Sciences Expansion

The expansion of the centre has commenced on site, the building will house a variety of different research groups and includes different levels of laboratories. It will also include links to Boots Science Building and a link to the remainder of CBS, as well as offices and meeting rooms for all academic and postrgraduate staff.

GF Tomlinson are appointed as main contractor. BuroFour are project managers and Gleeds are acting as cost managers. The architect on the project is Benoy with DH Squires as services consultant and Collins Hall Green as structural and civil engineer.

Jubilee Campus: New Self-Catered Undergraduate accommodation

Part of the derelict bonded warehouse site towards the North of Jubilee Campus is intended for the University of Nottingham’s first home style accommodation. The self-catered cluster flats will offer en-suite rooms and generous living accommodation whilst keeping the external facards in keeping with the neighbouring Southwell and Newark Hall. The accommodation will be available for the September 2021 intake.

Jubilee Campus: Power Electronics and Machines Centre (PEMC)

The latest development proposed at Jubilee Campus is the Power Electronics and Machines Centre (PEMC). This is to be situated adjacent to the recently completed RAD Building. The facility will provide office accommodation, laboratory, workshop space, meeting rooms and ancillary spaces for the Power Electronics, Machines and Control Group within the Faculty of Engineering.
