What if my item is too big for a locker?
Oversized items, and items from suppliers NOT supported by InPost, Amazon or Royal Mail locker networks
If you order an item and find it is too large for a locker, or the lockers on campus are not an option at checkout, continue to use your hall of residence address and the courier will deliver to Mail Services. Please note this will involve additional processing time and there may be a delay in receiving your item. You will receive an email to advise you when your parcel can be collected from Mail Services at Derby Hall on University Park, or from Jubilee Campus Welcome Point.
Please bring your student ID and the reference number from your email notification.
Sending letters, parcels and packages to or from family and friends
Friends and family can send you items and vice versa, through the InPost locker network. Download the app, pay for postage online, add your delivery/hall's postcode and select a locker location suitable for collection and delivery, then drop the parcel into the locker, no label required.
Alternatively, parcels and letters can be sent to you via Royal Mail Postboxes and Post Offices. Please use your hall address and postcode for delivery as detailed above. Letters will be available to collect from Welcome Points. Parcels may be collected from Mail Services located at Derby Hall, University Park or Jubilee Campus Welcome Point. Please note this will involve additional processing time.
