The discounts are redeemed through a variety of channels, including telephone, SMS codes, cashback, online voucher codes and reloadable gift cards.

Discounts include a 40% cinema discount, up to 10% off package holidays and 7% off Ikea purchases.



Employee wellbeing: Providing you with wellbeing information and guidance including details of the University’s occupational health service. Also, introducing the University’s new Employee Assistance Programme, a confidential 24/7 service freely available to you offering advice and support with a wide range of challenges and problems you may face. Whether you need medical advice, wish to arrange free face-to-face counselling or need support arranging child care, this service can help you.

Employee NUS card: Providing you access to purchase a TOTUM card, the new name for the NUS Extra card.

The card provides you with over 200 UK student discounts and comes with a 1 year free International Student Identity Card providing access to 42,000 discounts internationally.

Employee communication: Linking to all the University’s regular employee communications, staff networks and information on University cafes, bars, parking, trade unions and putting you in touch with the wide range of clubs and groups available to you across the University.

Recognition: The Exceptional Performance Bonus, Special Recognition Bonus and long service awards will continue to operate. The current arrangements and approach (including non-monetary) relating to employee recognition continue to be reviewed.

Employee development and career development: Linking to resources from the Professional Development team and the Leadership and Management Academy, along with all the latest news and opportunities available helping you to explore and reach your potential.

Travel and Sustainability: Linking to all the travel discounts available and information relating to travelling between campuses. Also providing Cycle to Work scheme details where you could make savings of up to a third of the cost of your commuting bike, and safety gear. From 1 November you will have access to a wider range of scheme registered stores.
