Bronze Age sanctuary found in Bulgaria

A Bronze Age sanctuary has been  found within the well-preserved remains of a late Roman fortress in Bulgaria. Andrew Poulter, Professor of Archaeology, reports that the upstanding remains of this spectacular find includes monolithic stone pillars, each  weighing up to 4.5 metric tonnes, date c. 1,200 BC.
