Traces of Horse found in The Department of Archaeology's Research

Congratulations to our recent PhD graduate, Dr Kristopher Poole, whose doctoral research has recently been making the headlines.

Kristopher's thesis examined human-animal relationships in Anglo-Saxon England and demonstrated how the pagan love of horse-meat was stamped out with the arrival of Christianity. His work has been featured in The Telegraph, The Daily Mail and on BBC Radio 4 and 5.

For more information, please see Kristopher's full academic article.
