Department of Classics and Archaeology

British Academy and Leverhulme postdocs at Nottingham

We are eager to support applications from outstanding early career researchers working in either Classics or Archaeology for this year's round of Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships and British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships. Details about the schemes, including eligibility, are available at the locations below:

Information about the department’s academics and their research interests can be found on the department website at https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/humanities/departments/classics-and-archaeology/people/index.aspx.

The official deadlines are still some way off (especially in the case of the Leverhulme scheme), but the department will select applicants to support, and then mentor them through the rest of the application process. We therefore ask that anyone interested in applying should check that they are eligible, make contact with the academic in the department whose research interests are most relevant, and send an expression of interest (two-side proposal and CV) to them and to oliver.thomas@nottingham.ac.uk.

We recommend that you do this as soon as possible and, at the latest, by Monday 2 September (for British Academy scheme) or Wednesday 11 November (for Leverhulme).

We look forward to hearing from you.

Dr Oliver Thomas (Departmental Director of Research)
