Classics and Archaeology Virtual Tour 2020

Kicking off with Nottinghamshire Local History and Archaeology Day, there are a range of digital events from our Classics and Archaeology staff, right the way through until the 28th July.

Highlights of this exciting series include the weekly Sparta Live talks, Virtually Nottingham, Upload Festival, Swansea Myth and Politics Summer Seminar series and Sutton Trust Summer school.

Friday 26th – Helen Lovatt presents ‘Roman satire does social distancing – Martial and disgusting kisses’, 3-4pm. 

Holly Miller presents ‘Zootherapy – walking pharmacies’, 4.30-5.30pm. 

Tuesday 30th - Matt Myers presents an introduction to the department and courses in ‘Classical Civilisation and ancient history courses: introduction and overview’, 3-4pm. 

Nick Wilshere presents an introduction to the department and courses in ‘Classics, Greek and Latin: introduction and overview’ 4.30-5.30pm.

Saturday 27th - Hannah O’Regan presents ‘Bears in Britain’ (pre-recorded) on the Streams stage, and ‘Cave archaeology’ live talk with Q&A on the Caves stage on Saturday at 5pm.
