This walk starts and ends at Weekday Cross, with a stroll through the Lace Market to see its global connections during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
We shall note the architectural and historical aspects of Nottingham Lace, which can be explored more fully at the Nottingham Industrial Museum at Wollaton Hall. Because of the uneven nature of the streets and walking paths, comfortable shoes are strongly advised.
The walk will be led by Dr David Gehring, an Associate Professor in Early Modern History.
