Dr Christian Haase, who is a lecturer in Modern German History, undertook the additional research associated with a renaming ceremony in connection with his Hamburg project on the Dönhoff archive and with the support of a research grant from the Dean’s Fund.
The public ceremony to install a historical memorial plaque at the recently renamed Marion-Dönhoff-Platz took place on 25 March in Berlin, with prominent Green politician Antje Vollmer (vice-president of Bundestag) among the speakers alongside Christian.
