David Appleby speaks on religion in the English Civil War

David Appleby appeared recently on BBC Radio Nottingham in conversation with Verity Cowley. David is a lecturer in Early Modern History and an advisor on the history panel of the National Civil War Centre.

David joined Verity on her programme on 3 May to discuss religious motivations during the English Civil War – a conflict which resulted in more British deaths than both the First and the Second World Wars combined.

Their conversation can be heard until 3 June 2015 on the BBC Nottingham website and is 2 hours 10 seconds into the show.
