British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship Success

Dr Matthew Ward, whose book 'Livery and Loyalty in Medieval England' has recently been published by Boydell, has been awarded a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship to study ‘The Culture of Loyalty in Fifteenth-Century England’. Matt will commence his fellowship on 1 January 2017 and it runs for three years. These fellowships are extremely competitive (around a 5% success rate) so we are absolutely delighted by Matt’s achievement and look forward to his arrival in the department next year.
