At Easter 2016 Gwilym Dodd delivered a series of eight lectures on British history, from the early medieval period to the modern day, at Hebei University of Technology, Tianjin, China. The audience comprised mainly teachers of the English language in universities from Tianjin and the province of Hebei.
The lectures were well attended and generated lots of discussion and many questions. In the final lecture Gwilym was made an Honorary Professor of Hebei University. He also gave a research paper at Tianjin Normal University entitled 'Petitions and their Political Context in Later Medieval England'.
