Dr Karen Adler led “A Walk through Resister Paris” on 23 October 2010 as part of the 20th Annual Conference of the Anna Seghers Gesellschaft.
Dr Adler is an expert on the history of resistance and lived in Paris for many years. She led the walk through north-east Paris to discover some of the many facets of resistance to the German Occupation of France, 1940-44. Figures both celebrated and unknown were explored, as well as the traces that their activities left on the walls and streets of the city.
