Year 3 History undergraduate receives a Vice-Chancellor's Achievement Award

Nick Catlin, a Year 3 History undergraduate student is a recent winner of the Athletic Union’s ‘The Neil Desai Sports Excellence Award’ which is in recognition for sporting excellence on the international stage. Nick has worked hard to get into the Senior England training squad and was picked to play and represent England in the Champions Trophy in Australia followed by the recent senior Hockey World Cup in India. This tournament was a success for both England and Nick who featured in every game and scored one World Cup goal along the way. Nick has earned 13 full England caps this year and has scored two goals for his country. Nick is now in line to feature during the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Nick has been invited to attend the Alumni Laureate Awards 2010 event to receive the VC Achievement Award on Wednesday 22 September.
