Manager Digital Humanities Centre, Faculty of Arts
Matt Davies is Manager of the Digital Humanities Centre (DHC) at the University of Nottingham providing access and support to Faculty of Arts staff and students who wish to use the digital equipment and software to enhance their research with digital content. He also provide advice and runs workshops on the creation, manipulation and use of digital images in teaching, research and on heritage projects.
Matt manages a paid postgraduate Research Associate who works in DHC two days a week and he annually recruits and mentors a team of student volunteers from the Arts faculty who work shifts in DHC where they learn digital and transferable skills and gain work experience. The volunteers also work on digitization projects and events which Matt organizes and supervises in collaboration with academic staff and external partners.
