Minimum fundraising target: £1,200 per team
Dragon boat racing is recognised as one of the most colourful, fastest growing and exhilarating water-based activities. Part of its amazing appeal is the ability to get everyone working together in a very short space of time, giving a very real and lasting sense of individual achievement and team spirit.
What's involved?
Each dragon boat seats up to 11 people (10 rowers and a drummer), and trained staff will guide participants in all aspects of paddle technique and teamwork. Each team will receive a minimum of three races, with the fastest teams going through to the semi-finals and final.
Who can take part?
No experience is necessary and all equipment is provided, so whether you take on the dragon boat race as a group of friends or as a team of work colleagues, this will be a memorable event and will be a unique way to build team spirit – perfect for re-engaging with people after so many months of remote working during the pandemic.
How much does it cost?
Registration costs £250 per team of 11 people and we will ask you to fundraise as a group for Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre in the run up to and after the event. We can help you with setting up a team JustGiving page and will give you advice and support throughout your fundraising.
Register your team
It's easy to register your team. We just need one person to register and act as our main point of contact. We will send the confirmation and all communications to this person and ask them to share these with the team more widely. Closer to the event we will ask for names of the full team and your team name, but these aren’t necessary at the time of registration.
