Our digital research directorate

About Digital Research

The Digital Research directorate was established to help researchers make use of advanced digital technologies and to collect insights into the needs of researchers across the university.

Alison Clarke, Director of Digital Research, conducts engagement work with research leaders to create a digital research vision for the University, and to identify the opportunities that will differentiate the University. Alison is supported by a Digital Research team led by Stuart Moran, and the Digital Research Service led by Phil Quinlan. The Digital Research team comprises of a Digital Research Specialist located in each of the five University faculties who have played a key role in developing the new Digital Research Programme work strands. The Digital Research Service provides data analytics expertise and software development to researchers across the University.

The new roles supporting the Digital Research Programme will work closely with Digital Research Specialists and expertise within Information Services, as well as researchers to facilitate delivery of the Programme workstrands.

Outcomes from our previous Digital Research Programme are highlighted in our Case Studies page
